As the Director of Technology, I'm responsible for all aspects of the engineering team including: software architecture & implementation/DevOps, system security, process improvement, project & team management, & resourcing. My team is responsible for every aspect of application development. Some of the tech we use includes:
I worked as a Software Engineer for the Non-profit Lighthouse Catholic Media implementing custom software solutions which powered their business infrastructure. Some of the solutions included custom eCommerce implementation and systems integrations with SaaS ERP, WMS, and Accounting softwares.
During my employment as an independent contractor to Social Data Tech, developing the iOS application, which corresponds with their product. The software required the integration of the native application with the company’s proprietary API, in addition to Facebook integration. I worked autonomously with client interaction when necessary.
During my two summers with Fast I worked in their offices in Atlanta, Georgia and Helena, Montana. My projects and responsibilities included: creating an automated system allowing Georgia taxpayers to view the status of their tax refund, creating Gentax program functionality allowing for the publishing/printing of the 1099G and 1099INT, learning to work within the constraints of a proprietary software architecture, learning the VB language, gaining database usage field experience, interacting closely with the client, functioning as part of a 4 man development team, and resolving client encountered software bugs.
Guest lectured a Graphic Design class, discussing databases, an overview of software development, and how developers and designers interface with one another."
Bachelor of Science - Computer Science. Graduated with honors.
During college I was introduced to and immediately fell in love with Ultimate Frisbee. During the spring, summer, and fall I play as often as I can with whomever I can.
Playing and listening to music has been a very significant aspect of my life. In college, I played in a band formed with some of my closest friends, in addition to volunteering to play in college youth group band. I still continue to play music on my own and jam with my old friends whenever I get the chance.
I have volunteered with Habitat for Humanity on two different occasions building houses for those in need. Additionally, in college during several spring breaks I volunteered with several homeless initiatives in downtown Denver.
